 "Dance isn't a form, it's a way of life."

The Champagne Dancers of South Carolina State University, allow students to be artistic in dance by keeping their creativity alive with enthusiasm on the field, while adding a hint of class to the Marching 101 Band. The movements and training that one may exhibit as a Champagne Dancer, only prepares them to be a graceful and poised adult in their everyday lives. Their electrifying moves “WOW” spectators as they watch from a distance at Saturday afternoon football games. Dance, at South Carolina State University, is not an option people choose because they feel they cannot do anything else, but it known to Champagne as a way of life. The Champagne Dancers of South Carolina State University believe that the art of their style of dance has something to say which words cannot express. There are many times when the simple dignity of “Champagnes” movements can fulfill the function of a volume of words. Being a part of Champagne requires a large time commitment, although dedication to academics always comes first at South Carolina State University. The Champagne Dancers learn to be quick and intelligent with good communication skills, while keeping up their academic studies. Champagne Dancers, dance for laughter, dance for tears, dance for madness, dance for fears, dance for hopes, dance for screams. They are the dancers, whom are loved by all who respect the art of dance!
