Mr. George "Spike" Nealy, II is a native of Birmingham, AL.  His undergraduate work was completed Alabama State University.  He has spent many years as a Drill Instructor:  three years at Alabama State University, seven years at Morris Brown College before coming to South Carolina State in 2004.  His responsibilities as Drill Instructor is to clean a drill, and clean a show.  This involves removing what is not needed and to save and polish what is needed for the viewing world and not just another stadium show.  He has always said that South Carolina State is more than just a halftime show, its entertainment for the Soul.

Mr. Nealy has toured the world with recording artist from all walks of life.  He has also recorded with and received Platinum Record Awards from such artists as Keith Sweat, Xscapes and Universal Records new recording Artist Serabee.  He has recorded and toured the world with the "Godfather of Soul", Mr. James Brown from 1991-2006.  This experience covered the Grammys, The American Music Awards, David Letterman Show, The Tonight Show, Connan O'Brien, Rock & roll Hall of Fame, Live at The Apollo, Pay Per View, HBO, Pavarotti & James Brown, Live at the House of Blues, Good Morning America, and The Morning show.  After 15 years, visiting every continent and many countries all around the world, his joy is making people smile throughout the world with his art of entertaining.
